Many economists have been protesting for months against the austerity policies imposed throughout Europe and further strengthened in the European fiscal Treaty. For example, Nobel Price Paul Krugman, recently stated it would be the "Europe's Economic Suicide".

This is the amount allocated by the European Union to build accomodation facilities in the province of Vibo Valentia, in order to promote the tourism potential of Calabria. Indeed, with the collaboration of two complacent regional officials, the huge sum was used for the renovation of private homes and expensive wedding gifts to friends and relatives.

Five Members of the EFD Group launched a written declaration in the European Parliament  for a debate to taking serious actions to quit the single currency. Mario Borghezio, Magdi Cristiano Allam, Philippe De Villiers, Nigel Farage and Francesco Speroni, call on the EU institutions to submit proposals with a view to “re-establishing national currencies in every country of the euro zone”. Mr Borghezio explains why signing this declaration is absolutely essential.
