Problemy wskazane przez Komisję Europejską mogą być bardzo szybko rozwiązane - zapewniał w środę premier Viktor Orbán w Parlamencie Europejskim. Szef Komisji Europejskiej José M. Barroso, który wraz z Viktorem Orbánem uczestniczył w środę w europoselskiej debacie o Węgrzech, potwierdził, że otrzymał odeń pismo wskazujące, że premier jest gotów zmodyfikować przepisy zakwestionowane przez Komisję w trzech procedurach karnych.

Delegacja Solidarnej Polski z dniem dzisiejszym (2011.12.26) przystępuje do grupy „Europa Wolności i Demokracji" w Parlamencie Europejskim. Uważamy, że grupa „Europa Wolności i Demokracji" w większym stopniu niż nasza dotychczasowa grupa „Europejskich Konserwatystów i Reformatorów" umożliwi nam realizację naszego programu, zabiegania o polskie interesy w Unii Europejskiej.

British Prime Minister David Cameron said that if Britain left the EU, the country would find itself in the position of Norway. According to Nigel Farage, Cameron admitted that Britain would still have a free trade deal with 29 States from the European Economic Area (EEA). For UKIP's leader, "there is absolutely nothing to fear in terms of trade from leaving the European Union, because on D+1 we'll find ourselves part of the European Economic Area and with a free trade deal."

After top Economists Dani Rodrik and Paul Krugman last week, a new voice just asked for putting an end to the euro experiment. Gideon Rachman is a columnist for the Financial Times and his paper published on November 7^th is titled "Saving the euro is the wrong goal". For Rachman, defending the euro has strangely become a goal by itself, far from economic reality : "the Euro is not an end in itself".
