‘We are the true Europeans. We know what democracy is and we treasure it.’ said Danish MEP, Morten Messerschmidt on Saturday 14^th of August 2010.  Speaking at the opening of the party congress of the True Finns Party in Pori, Finland, the 29 year-old Danish MEP told party delegates that members of the EFD Group in the European Parliament had sent ‘shockwaves’ through the old party systems of Europe by ‘sending out a message of freedom, democracy, rule of law and national sovereignty to each and every European citizen.’

With the approval of the report presented by Mr Scottà on the agricultural product quality policy, the Parliament asks for an improvement of the EU quality policy. The positive vote expressed stresses the demand for a major support of the different quality productions we have in Europe. Mr Scottà considers that food quality policy can create competitiveness and value for Europe’s regional economies and it can be an instrument to overcome the crisis.
